Why are you a caregiver?

Last year, my 73-year-old mother fell and shattered her wrist. She is the sole caregiver of my father, who has mid stage dementia. They live in a very small town, and we could not find assistance for them, so I stepped in. I really enjoyed being able to help them take care of the house and prepare meals. I help them deal with some of their insurance needs, and various other tasks. In addition to getting to spend extra time with my parents, it was very rewarding to assist them with their daily routine.

What do you like to do for fun?

I am a certified yoga, teacher and Reiki instructor. I love going for a walks and hikes, reading, and trying out healthy recipes. I have three grown children, and two grand puppies! Pets, make life better!
